Labor Day is right around the corner and healthy dessert options are a must! However, they can be so drab! Lets fix that and make a super cute display for an easy fruit salad!
Take ice cream cones and cute an inch off the top so that there is a smaller opening for the strawberry to rest in. Fill the cones with a finely chopped fruit salad of choice. Place a strawberry, cut into a flower shape, on top! Place three blueberries skewered with a tooth pick, in the middle of the leafed strawberry as if it is the “stigma” of the flower.
Next, place this light labor day dessert option in an empty ice cream carton as a unique and kitschy ice cream cone stand! Just poke a 1/2 inch hole in the top for each cone and wedge it in so they stay up straight! Serve with some low fat ice cream and you have a light labor day dessert option!
